Katelyn Aslett (Australia)
This is a label that specializes
in hand crafted textiles made with an emphasis on creativity,
originality, ethical production practices with above all, a sense of
fun.
Each piece is totally hand made using natural fibers and fabrics and
recycled silks that are hand dyed using low impact dyes in small
quantities to avoid waste, as dye pots can be fully exhausted rather
than sent down the drain.
Katelyn is committed to designing with human rights and ethics in mind
and strives to make the world more joyful by designing pieces that
encourage strangers to smile at one another and invite whimsy into their
lives. This can seem a strange concept in design but Katelyn strongly
feels that a world with less strangers and more kindness and joy will be
a better world.
