WHAT WE DO
RecycloFashion promotes
eco-fashion industries, designers and works in Singapore and the rest of the
world.
This is in the
form of marketing, involvements in ad campaigns, events and press coverage.
We're huge advocates of the 'ALTERNATIVE' i.e. materials and fabric that
aren't harming natural resources. A large part of what we do is promoting
awareness among the fashion-educated among us, followed closely by the
masses.
We also collaborate with artists or design houses that are innovative in the
use of their work material. For example, materials such as recycled leather,
seat belts, paper cups, plastic, fibre and organic cotton. Organizations
that practise fair trade are also our partners.
RecycloFashion's underlying aim is to promote the region's fashion events,
centering on young, up and coming designers who refashionize
the alternative. Thus, we extensively cover them for our updates
and also support fringe activities like flea markets and showcases.
RecycloFashion's approach is to bridge the gap between conventionality and
taking a 'leap of faith' in fashion. In other words, making ‘eco’
acceptable, wearable and open to runway, editorial and industry trends. We
believe that eco-fashion is here to stay. Indeed, "Wear it Out and Wear it
Proud".
